The handoff we do not have
The standard pattern in this trade is a mitigation company that dries and demolishes, then hands you a dry, half-demolished house and a suggestion to find a builder. The mitigation firm has been paid. The builder starts cold from somebody else's scope. You coordinate two companies who each think the other is the problem.
We hold the general contractor license, so the scope that dried the house is the scope that rebuilds it, on one contract.
Why we do not use assignments of benefits
An AOB transfers your claim rights to the contractor. It has legitimate uses and it is also the instrument behind a great deal of what has gone wrong in Florida restoration — which is why the law around it has changed repeatedly.
We do not need one to do the work, so we do not ask for one. If someone presents you with an AOB while you are standing in a flooded house, that is the moment to stop and read it somewhere calm.
What we are not
We are not public adjusters. That is a separate licensed role in Florida and we do not hold it. We do not negotiate your claim, quantify a business interruption loss, or advise on landlord-tenant or condominium law.
What we provide is accurate documentation, an honest scope, and a straight answer about whether filing makes sense. If your claim needs an advocate, a licensed public adjuster or an attorney is the right call and we will say so.

Romco Builders is a licensed Florida general contractor. Trade work requiring separate certification is performed under the appropriate certification. Verify any license with the state before signing anything, with us or anyone else.
